Carbon dioxide is a major by-product of the hydrogen production process and has high commercial value. The carbon dioxide concentration in the wet decarbonization gas can reach over 99% (dry gas). Other impurities include water, hydrogen, etc., which can reach food grade liquid CO2 after purification. It can be purified from hydrogen reforming gas such as CO2 rich natural gas SMR, methanol cracking gas, lime kiln gas, flue gas, synthetic ammonia decarbonization tail gas, etc. Food grade carbon dioxide can be recovered from exhaust gas.

After the raw material is washed with water, the MDEA residue in the raw material gas is removed, and then it is compressed, purified and dried to remove organic substances such as alcohols in the gas and remove peculiar smell at the same time. After distillation and purification, a small amount of low-boiling gas dissolved in CO2 is further removed, and high-purity food-grade CO2 is obtained and sent to storage tanks or filling.
